New Sensory Equipment

We thank the Charity "Kids in Need" who have made a recent donation to Oak View in the form of sensory equipment.

The new plastic optic fibre will be a safer option in our sensory room than the previous glass fibre. These strands of light creates a beautiful and calm visual environment to help self regulation and relaxation to promote wellbeing.

The robust trampettes and the squeeze machine  provide activity that promotes sensory stimuli to the brain that helps to improve balance and spacial perception. These activities help the child to calm and eventually self regulate their overloaded senses. Over time, this self regulation could improve access to learning.

"Kids in Need" charity invite parents to visit their website to use their application form to request something special for their child. Please go to  http://www.essexinfo.net/kidsinneed/ and view "Application info".
