Coffee morning and talk about Zones of Regulation

On Friday, the school hosted a McMillan Coffee Morning, run by the pupils, and a talk from Ross Burrell about the Zones of Regulation.

The Zones of Regulation have been used successfully since the summer term and today, Ross gave a talk on how they work at Oak View so that parent can understand what we do in school. More information can be found on our website page Zones of Regulation. The talk was well attended - thank you to all parents and carers who came.

There was also a MacMillan Coffee Morning with lots of cakes. Our pupils were very excited to see ex-pupils and parents and some old staff as well.

  • ‘very impressed with the school’s clear sense of purpose in preparing its students for life after school. ’

  • ‘Pupils' relationships with adults are excellent, and they learn respect and appropriate behaviour from the staff. Pupils are accepting of each other’s varying needs, and show pleasure in each other’s successes.’
